Prof. Lina Montuori is currently Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Thermodynamics at Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in Spain and senior member of the Institute for Energy Engineering. Previously, she has also been a Guest Researcher at the State University of New York at Buffalo (USA). She holds a PhD summa cum laude in Industrial Engineering, an MBA from UPV, and an Executive Master’s in Digital Marketing, Analytics, and UX from the Catholic University of Ávila. She also earned a Master’s Degree in Energy Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both summa cum laude, from the University “Federico II” of Naples (Italy). Her research activity focuses on renewable integration in energy systems, thermal energy storage, energy management, biomass, natural gas, hydrogen and ML/AI-based energy forecasting, with particular emphasis on decarbonization and sustainable strategies . She is the author of more than 20 scientific publications, 44 conference proceedings, 2 books, and 3 book chapters, and has participated and lead in 13 International EU research projects. She has over 12 years of professional experience in the private sector, having held managerial and technical positions in multinational companies (ENEL, TOSHIBA-MITSUBISHI, SOLAER) in the fields of natural gas, renewable energy, and industrial energy systems. She is a multilingual professional (speaking English, Italian, Spanish, French, and Valencian) with strong intercultural competencies and member prestigious research associations.
